This set of 4 FIBERGLASS pencils is an excellent addition to your cleaning toolbox. We do recommend being very careful when cleaning copper-based items, as it is probably the most "sensitive" or softest metal. These pencils can be sharpened with a regular pencil sharpener.

Directions and recommendations:

1. Best used on soft dirt-covered coins; these pencils should be used in small circular motions. Begin gently and then figure what amount of pressure is appropriate.

2. Can be used in conjunction with liquid cleaners like Mint State Restoration cleaner. The Mint State Restoration Cleaner will help soften any tough crust or concretions while the pencil gently removes it.

3. These pencils allow you to clean without damage or removing the patina.
